I am a big fan of Seattle based Chase Javis' photography some of his work is just amazing. However he uses expensive and high-tech equipment, but how will his photos be if he used low tech equipment. In the following video (which is quite old) by DigitalRev TV Chase grabs a Lego camera and works his magic!

The Car never starts.
I recently read an article Screencrush.com about the 10 biggest Horror Movie Cliches and the one that really stand out was 2. "Car never starts" instead of 1. "everyone is an idiot". Why is it that the cars never start? Do the batteries on the cars magically die, or do the car just decided not to start. Maybe the car is scared too. And 3 "Bad Cell Reception". In the time before cell phone I would have believe that the phone will not work, but now it is hard to believe. Is the killer/ monster messing with the cell towers or something? I enjoyed watching horror movies but whenever I see some of there cliches it really ruins the movie for me.

Classical Train
I have never got on a train not even the light rail here in Houston, but if it is anything like the Copenhagen Metro I would differently catch the train everyday. I had previously said that I am not a big fan of classical music but I guess if they were playing live right in front of me I could appreciate more. Now I really wished I would had pick up an instrument as a child.

Pineapple
In my last post i talked about Firefly while it is a great show I have never been a big fan of any show, well with the exception of NBC's Chuck. However I was never a big fan to notice little detail on the show. Well PSYCH's fans are well dedicated to the shown. According to PsychPineapple.com there is at least one reference to a pineapple in every single episode. I watch a couple of episode and I never notice. Psychpineapple.com is a website dedicated to find that pineapple in every episode and so far they have found them.

Firefly
I have always enjoyed Sci-Fi, however for years now Joss Whedon’s
(Buffy the Vampire Slayer) TV show Firefly blew past my radar. The show is
based 500 years in the future and involves a renegade crew trying to make money
to survive while invading law enforcement. I recently began to watching it and I
love it. The show has a mix of Sci-Fi and a Wild West kind of theme which works
excellent. Nathan Fillion (Castle) is hilarious
and does an excellent job as the lead role. The only bad thing is that there are only 14 episodes
to watch. So I was upset because I had
so many questions. However, Joss Whedon was able to produce Serenity,
movie based on the TV show Firefly, which personally it was a perfect way to
end the show. Unless there is a sequel on the way, but I doubt it Joss is
probably too busy planning the Avengers 2 or something.
This is the trailer for Serenity.

No Cuts
I am big fan of one shot scene. You know those shots that have no cuts just continuing action like in the fight sequence in the Korean movie "Old Boy" or the scene when Robert De Niro come out of the locker room in "Raging Bull". In my video production class I try to accomplished a one shot scene but found out it was harder than I imagine and gave up on it.
Weezer's Music Video Undone is an excellent example of what i try to accomplish but fail.
Goldfrapp's Happiness is more complicated but it's amazing what they accomplished.

A Classical Flashmob
I am not a big fan of flash-mobs or classical music, but when they come together I can't help but to be a fan. Banco Sabadell arrange a flash-mod to celebrate their 130th anniversary with a campaign "Som Sabadell" (We are Sabadell). With more than 100 people from the Vallès Symphony Orchestra, the Lieder, Amics de l'Òpera and Coral Belles Arts choirs, Banco Sabedell made something amazing.
This is the result of their hard work...
